Wikipedia:

The Enemy are an British rock band from the Coventry suburb of Holbrooks and nearby town of Kenilworth. They are signed to Warner. They gained acclaim when they where mentioned in NME as a breakthrough act for 2007.
They recently supported The Fratellis, Kasabian, Ash and Manic Street Preachers on their UK tours.[1] Their previous single, "Away From Here", entered the charts at number 8. Their album We'll Live and Die in These Towns went to Number 1.
The band minus Andy were formerly known as Bridges and under this moniker they held the title of BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Band of the Month in July 2005. [1] Former Bass Player Steve Golder now plays for Brighton band 'Your Very Own Flying Machine'
In 2006 the band were the opening act at Coventry's Godiva Festival, and again played the event in July 2007, second headliners beneath the Super Furry Animals.
In June 2007, The Enemy played twice at Glastonbury Festival, played the 'Guardian lounge' on Saturday and the much larger 'Other Stage'on Sunday. They also headlined on the Saturday night of T In The Park in the 'Futures' tent on the 7th July.
On July 16, 2007 the band's debut album: We'll Live and Die in these Towns went straight to Number 1 in the UK Albums chart on release.
Consolidating on their rapid success, The Enemy were confirmed as headliners at the 2007 NME Rock N Roll Riot Tour, to be conducted during September and October. Friend of the band, rapper Lethal Bizzle, and The Wombats, have been confirmed as support.

We'll Live and Die in These Towns is the debut album of British band The Enemy, released on 9 July 2007. It went to number #1 on its first week of release in the British album charts.

[edit] Signing Session
On July 9, the day of release of the album, the band played a special set at HMV Oxford Street in London and in their home town Coventry, fans flocked to the stores on both days to grab a signed copy of the CD and Limited LP albums.
This is not the first signing session the band has undertaken, they also held events for the release of their singles 'Away From Here' and 'Had Enough'. The dedication to their work and constant contact with their fanbase has made The Enemy one of the most popular new bands this year.
The album 'We'll Live and Die in These Towns' knocked the Chemical Brothers' fifth album 'We Are the Night' off the UK album chart top spot on July 15, shooting straight to number 1.
Early album reviews have been mixed, with some comparing it to Oasis' début CD, Definitely Maybe. [citation needed] A low-quality version of the full album was leaked on July 3, containing demo and non-album versions of particular songs.
